On Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, Charlie moved to the Oscar Wilde Co-op in Berkeley (he is officially a "Wildebeast") ... true, most of his possessions are still in his room, but it's awfully quiet around here. The whole point of parenthood is to create these wonderful, independent human beings, and Charlie is certainly all that. Being inbetween semesters, the place was an absolute disaster, with broken furniture & detritus being pitched off the back balcony towards the dumpsters, and interior cleanup being done with a shovel more than a broom (picture "Animal House")! His dad & I helped schlep his carload of goodies upstairs to the little shared room that will be Home for the next few months, and then it was "Good-bye!". I've resisted temptation to phone these past 2 days, but it's hard! Hope he has fun. But then, Charlie usually has fun, and as I like to say, 
"No matter where you are, there you are." Good luck to my baby!
